Very well written. This also shows a great reminder that our Dhrama Shashtra are very important texts that we were forced to forget, may it is also a time that we write new ones that reflect Sanatana dharma spirit for current times.

To write new one is most difficult challenge that Hindus have stopped accepting. When by regurgitating them is enough then there is no need for it. It is because rest of the population is stopped from learning to read and write. They were taught to just follow without applying their mind otherwise it was possible that so many educated were beating thali or tali in their balcony with pride. It was most dangerous virus humanity was facing.

All that worked is vaccine and scientific methods for stoping it’s spread but credit went to thali! Religion! Sanatan Dharma.

A wonderful synthesis of the term with all the references. Thank you!

It would be great if the audio narration could use the right pronunciation as well. Vibrations and intonations matter.

Very well written. Even we have shared a similar perspective based on the reference from the Divya and Pavitra Srimad Bhagavad Gita, wherein the word 'SANATAN' is used to describe that eternal तत्त्व , that very essence on which everything, everyone, everywhere is manifested and sustains. And to know it's existence as a whole, is our 'DHARMA' and for that we should do our duties & our kartavya very selflessly, by doing which,

our ' मन ' & ' बुद्धी ' becomes pure and we are able to see that tattva in everything! Because unless we don't silent the noise outside, we won't be able to listen to the voice within! Hari Om 🙏🏻😇

Have you silenced it? Or on path?

If on path then my posts may be of some help in taking one more step inwards. It is a journey alone and only through experiments one can grow inwards.

Thank you for an excellent article. I am now a lot closer to some kind of understanding of what sanatana dharma really means.

I quote “Together these words point to that which is present across all times — past, present, and future — and is not bound by the changes that come and go within them.”

You are using texts to describe Sanatana! Text will come and go, so how can Sanatana be defined by that? Even religions, including Hindu religion during Kalpa, come and go then how can they define it?

It is something to experience within, we all contain it in our heart. The moment we experience it, we go beyond any definition along with desires, fear and inner trembling. So anyone calling themselves as awakened Hindu or Christian or Muslim or Buddhist is a charlatan.

I quote “. And the eternal principle it names — the principle of non-harm, truth, restraint, and compassion that sustains all life — does not bend to the public claims of any moment.”

Hindu people feel no mercy for their own lower caste people so non-harm, restrain and compassion are just good words for them.

Caste system must go for it to become a practice in Sanatan Dharma of Hindu people.

From my personal experiences of spiritual journey till date I can say:- For most Islamic countries practising Islam Sanatan Dharma is their way of life. For Christian’s, Buddhists and Parsi people Sanatan Dharma means “their respective way of life”.

It is one only that is eternal. All religions are it’s flowering and through following their way of life they are following “That dharma which is eternal”.

Since the word is coined by Ancient people of East it does not become theirs, even those who coined it have not left their names on Upanishads just because no one can claim it to be theirs!

For the claimant becomes bigger than that immediately. Those making such claims about eternal truth are fools or dumb people.
